Love Different

My parents met online, my husband and I talked online for a year or two before we ever met in person, and I'm sure someone reading this has met their significant other on the world wide web. I've heard of all of these dating sites that have popped up lately, but did you know that there is a dating site specifically for “gothic” singles? I, myself, am not looking for a significant other but I still thought this site was pretty interesting. The graphics on the site are what caught my eye, because they are very detailed for a dating site. This dark dating net is called Darkyria. It is vamped (no pun intended) towards goth, dark, fetish, and vampire related followers. However, on the home page it also states that it is also aimed at lovers of dark and metal music, and horror, fantasy, and sci-fi films. The neat feature is that you can send a “wink” to those you are interested in, if you are a tad bit shy. The name of the site reminds me so much of the beloved MTV show of my teenage years, DARIA. Does anyone remember that show?

If your looking for a not so goody-two-shoes then you should check out Goth singles aka Darkyria.

I'm a Postie!

I am totally addicted to my computer. The minute little Jay goes to sleep I run to my little corner of paradise so that I can get as much done as possible before he wakes up(which is usually in 10 min.) Even before I had Jayden I was trying to find a way to make money on the computer so that I could be at home with him more, or just to get a little bit of extra cash. I figured that since I'm on my computer so much, it would only be wise to make a profit. As I was browsing the internet the other day I came across this website called payperpost. Another blog that I read had a link to it, and after visiting it, I decided it looked pretty legit. I submitted an application and I waited, and waited, not so patiently because I actually contacted them to find out when my application would be approved. I was just so excited to try this site out! Yesterday, my application was approved. How it works: different companies put offers on the site for bloggers to write about their programs or products. You write about it on your blog, take the offer, and submit the url of the post on their site. The company that submitted the offer will then decide to either choose your blog or not. If they do, then you get paid. The better your reputation is on payperpost, the higher paying offers you will be able to take. Also, you can put a button on your site and if a company comes across your blog and wants you to write about their product or company then they can click on the link and make an offer. If you are as addicted to your blog as I am, then you should try this too.

Belated Thanksgiving

With all of the festivities at Thanksgiving, I forgot to post this. I made a Thanksgiving Time Capsule that we are going to open next year.

I traced both of Jayden's hands on paper for the base of the turkey.

I then retraced them onto some foam that I had laying around for scrapbooking. Each turkey feather is one of Jayden's fingers. I glued each finger on top of one another. I glued each turkey on the side of a baby food jar(Jayden's first baby food jar). We put the papers in the jar to open next year!

This is the finished product!

This activity would have probably been much more fun if Jay had been a little older to help me put it together. At Thanksgiving dinner we each wrote down what we were grateful for on a slip of paper with our name(s) at the top and then we passed it to our right. Each person had to write down on their neighbors paper what they were grateful for about them. No one wanted their neighbor to see what they had wrote so we had to fold our papers before we switched but I still think it was a great activity!

Deal of the Day

On my recent freebie hunting I found this great site. It's called and if you check out with Google Checkout you get an automatic $10 off your total. Plus, if it's an item that has the little green truck with it, that means you get free shipping. I ordered something that was $10 and free shipping and mine is already on the way so I got it for FREE. It's only applicable for new customers and you have to put in your credit card number but that's only because google does not recognize that it's free. They charge a $1 to make sure it's a valid credit card, but they then put it back on your card in a couple of days. Make sure you choose to check out with "Google Checkout" (at the bottom) NOT's generic checkout or else you will not get the credit of $10. Also, if you get to the checkout and it still says you owe shipping try the drop down menu on the shipping column and choose the "$0.00" free shipping. If it's still not free shipping, then it probably doesn't have the green truck beside of the item and you'll have to find something else that does. I'm not sure how long they will be doing this promotion so you might want to act fast.

Make sure you check out the USB Flash Stick, mini digital camera, and HP Printer paper, all for only $10 + free shipping! They might not be in the $10 treasure bin but you can search for them easily. Also some of the items in the treasure bin might not be free shipping but you will only be paying a couple of bucks for a really great deal.

$10 off at

If you feel like spending a little out of pocket you should really look around at all of the great deals on's site. The last time I looked they had some great deals on digital camera's right now. The thing about is that they compare prices on other sites and show you the price difference. Also, with each product they have on there, they are hooked up with the manufacturer so that's why they are able to give you the awesome deal, but you still come out not breaking the bank.

OOPS! She did it again!

I have been meaning to harp about this for a while now but kept getting distracted with my freebies.

**Excuse me a moment while I step onto my soap box**

Is it just me, or is anyone else interested in this Britney Spears stuff? I keep seeing related topics about her everywhere and it's hard for me not to read them. I, myself, have never cared much for the girl. I always knew she was not as innocent as she was playing up to be. The only thing that I've been able to relate with her about lately is us both being mothers. According to all of the therapists who have been interviewed about Brit, she is going through postpartum, which I myself have been going through ever since I had Jayden. Now, don't get me wrong, I am NOT going off on drinking adventures or speeding through red lights. However, I really feel that her doing these immature things is her way of finding herself.
As far as her not having custody of her children: I don't think it would be best if she's doing it alone(and no, her 20 something year old cousin does not count). I cannot image having a social services' person there with me 24 hours a day to monitor my mothering. That would just add to the depression so I don't know how Britney hasn't went off the deep end already. To be honest, I really think her mother should have came home to rescue her a long time ago. I'm sure she knew what was going on early from all of the publicity but she did not come to her daughter's side until late in the game.
Well, now the press sharks are at it again. This just out: Britney had skeletons in her closet back in her Mickey Mouse days(big suprise). US Mag. says that Brit's grandmother committed suicide at age 33 on the grave of her infant son(they should NOT be using her dead grandmother against her). Also, Brit lost her virginity at age 14. Britney's lawyer back in her teen years said that her virginity was a PR Ploy for young girls(and their mother's) to approve of her. You can read this article here
The weird thing is that she's being compared to Anna Nicole; Anna and Britney both have/had the same attorneys.
I saw an interview of Julia Robert's the other day and when they asked her what her opinion was of Britney she said that she wished that she could move Britney into her Guest House, take care of her, and then tell her "OK this is the way it's going to be". That might not be a bad idea...

AVON Item Of The Week

Glazewear Liquid Lip Color

sale! 1.99

I. love. this. stuff. it is awesome. I've had the same color for about 3 years now and I absolutely adore it and I will never buy another lip gloss besides this one again. Usually I get so frustrated with the lip gloss that I buy because it clumps up and it just doesn't feel right. I buy the color "mirage" in the glazewear, it has a hint of shimmer in it and it's great over another color. I just had a customer buy more of it besides the 2 other tubes that she had because it was on sale and because she liked it so much. I highly recommend it!

4 Months

Ok so baby Jay was technically 4 months on the 3rd but he just now got to the doctor today because we switched doctors. He's 15 pounds and 4 ounces now!! The doctor was very impressed that Jayden was sitting up so well and was laughing so much. He also thought it was very cool that Jayden can hold his own spoon and feed himself and that he is sleeping from 11pm to 8am on most days. Jayden is still allergic to peaches and rice cereal but not oatmeal or anything else that we have came across. However, the only allergic reaction is the rash around his neck. Jayden got his shots today too, 3 shots to be exact! They put charlie brown bandaids on his boo boo's this time which I was very impressed with :) Overall I liked this doctor and the facility much much more than the one he went to before. I used to go to this doctor myself so that probably has a lot to do with it. Jayden is asleep right now(SHHHHH) and hopefully he will stay that way until I can get done with this post....
