New Friends

Jayden had his first "playdate" with another little person today. My friend Eva and I were pregnant around the same time, except she had her little boy, Avery, a few months before I had Jayden. Eva and I were both in dire need of some mommy sanity bonding and thought that it would be the perfect time for our little boys to finally meet. They played perfectly together and we hope to make it a weekly playdate.

Hugs! :0)

Eva is also having a great Mary Kay Sale this month. Go check out her site!

Anniversary

Today is me and Jake's 2 year wedding anniversary. It is also our 5 year anniversary. This sounds confusing but it is only because we got married on our 3 year anniversary. Still sounds confusing when I read that back to me! Either way, it has been a long trip and it feels as if we have been together forever! Some people do not know that Jake and I actually went to daycare together. Our mom's also went to high school together. Unfortunately, we did not get to go to the same school until high school but we were friends in 8th grade. I always wish that we had been friends when we were little but fate just did not work that way. So I guess you could say we had a high school romance?

Our wedding was kinda sporatic. We decided on a whim to get married because we did not want it to be a big deal with a lot of people and we also wanted it to be on our 3 year anniversary. We actually were not going to have a wedding at all. We were going to go down to the court house, but when my manager at my old job and some of the other girls found out about that, they surprised us with a wedding in the mall! It was not actually IN the middle of the mall, but in a store that was completely vacant. I had suspicions that they were doing something so I went and bought a white sun dress just in case. Personally, if it had been up to Jake and I, we would have eloped. We both despise weddings and we're kind of private. I would still like to renew our vowels some day. I've always wanted to get married on the beach. Maybe we can make it happen eventually.

Make Money Off Of Junk Mail

I found this job lead on the wahm.com site. It is a company who is offering money if you send them your junk mail. At first, I thought that it was talking about junk mail in your email account, but it is actual junk mail in your home mail box. It is a good way to recycle your junk mail instead of just throwing it in the trash where it will eventually end up in a landfill. According to the site, they reimburse for postage and you can write the price of the envelopes off on your taxes. There are some requirements for what type of junk mail that they accept and there is a minimum amount that you can send. Click here to go to the site. Once you arrive, click on "Careers" and then click on "Junk Mailer".

You can also read the post that I first found on the wahm.com site here.

I'm not sure If I'm going to do this or not. We get a lot of junk mail, but not all of it meets the specifications that they are looking for. Either way, it is a good way to earn a few extra bucks each month.

Baby Update

I just read my pregnancy update for 18 weeks (you can read it too on the left hand column). It says the little "peanut" is as big as a baby doll. How cool is that? Sometimes it feels as if I have a roller coaster in my belly. I guess it is when the baby is turning over, but it feels like my stomach is doing a complete flip. The good news is that I do not get nauseous as opposed to when Jayden would flip around. I was so busy working when I was pregnant with Jayden that I never noticed when he actually started to kick, but I have already started to feel this one. The other day Jayden was laying on my tummy and the baby kicked him. Now, that's love.

I've been trying to get Jake to feel the baby kick but every time he tries to feel it, the baby stops. I guess this one is going to be stubborn too. Another interesting fact that the update said was that the ears are fully developed and the baby can hear. I never read to Jayden when I was pregnant with him, but he was always around music. When I was working he could hear the music in the store, and then in the car on the way to and from work I always had the music loud so that he could hear it. I was always able to tell which music he liked the best because he would kick, which almost felt like dancing, when I would play a particular station. He did the same thing when I would watch Ellen's TV show.

Joy Ride

News 2 is taking vacation photos that they will start showing on the air tomorrow. Jake, Caleb and I helped pay for my Mom and Dad to go to Hard Rock Park at the beach to see the Eagles perform live back in the Spring. I submitted the photo and they accepted it on the site so we're keeping our fingers crossed that they will show it. It's of our Dad on the famous Led Zepplin ride. You can submit your vacation photos at digtriad.com

New Home

We have officially moved, again. The apartment complex where we live not only stated that we had to be out by October, but they also jacked the rent up to $500 until that time comes. In order to keep from having to pay this, we were able to move out in one day, with the help of everyone. We are living in the camper at my parents house. While the living area is small, we are together so that is all that matters. We are going to try to put a house on the land, which hopefully we can get going pretty soon. We were kind of torn between staying in the camper until we get the house situation planned out or moving into an apartment. However, both of us are sick of moving, as well my family who has helped us move, so we will probably stay where we are at.

Family Trip

We went to the beach for a week. Just Jake, Jayden and I. It was nice being able to go by ourselves and not have to follow everyone else's lead as to what they want to do. This was Jayden's last hoorah trip with me and Jake before he is no longer an only child. We stayed in a really nice condo located right on the intercoastal waterway. I hope we can go back next year and stay at the same place.

House Issues

Among other issues, we just got back from the beach and found out that we have to be out of our apartment by October 1st. The owners of the complex have sold the property and the new owners are converting the entire complex to a complete low income assitance property. Our income level is too high to stay, even though it is still not grand. We have to find somewhere else to go in a short amount of time. In a way, it might be a good thing. We live on the second story, and it is difficult to carry Jayden up and down the stairs with me being pregnant. Hopefully we can find something near my Mom though. However, Jake is in the process of being promoted to manager so we might have to move wherever they put him.

I'm Back

There has been a huge problem with blogger lately. Thousands of blogs have been reviewed and blocked for being spam. Some blogs were blocked when they were not even spam. My blog was down for about a week. I found out that I had added a "widget" which is one of the things on the side bar that was being considered as spam. I'm back now but I am in the process of deciding if I should switch to WordPress instead. I'll let ya know if I switch.
