Ya know I love putting pics in all of my posts but I don't have one for this one(shocker, I know). Anyways I just wanted to leave a quick note and tell everyone that I'm selling AVON now. I would love to send you a book so just email me (listed on side column) if you would like one. You can also go to avon.com and then tell me what you would like. If you are in my area I can do deliveries, but otherwise it's $3 shipping. Let me be your AVON lady! :)

Mom, this one's for you
I cannot cross-stitch to save my life. My Mom on the other hand is very good at it. I just have no patience to do it. I tried it once. I kept messing up so I just got frustrated and quit. Mom loves taking pics with my camera(on the rare occasion that I part with my camera). She took this picture of a door hanging that she made. I had no idea that she had even taken the picture until a little while ago when I uploaded the picture's to the computer. I thought that this one was worth a post of it's own.

Just put the shot down and no one get's hurt
Ah yes, baby's first shots. Horrible, horrible experience. I now believe that mother's are the bravest human beings on this planet if they can sit there and watch their baby be in pain without being able to do something about it. He had 3 shots, and then they put really cute bandaids on his boo boo's :) Tonight, at bath time, he literally took one of the bandaid's off himself. I'm saving it for his baby book to show the monumental event. Anyways, I'm getting off topic...oh yeah the doctor's office. Jayden has a rash that goes all the way around his neck. They are not really sure if he's allergic to something or if it's just a yeast rash. I, personally, have really sensitive skin so it could have something to do with sensitivity which goes back to allergies. Doc gave me a prescription for a powder to put on it. He came home and slept for about 6 hours straight without eating, which the doctor said would probably happen. Her words were "fussy babies tend to be sleepier babies when they've had these shots, and the opposite for happy babies". Gee I guess I got lucky to have a fussy baby then. She also scolded us for giving him baby food and cereal. But ya know, you can't go by the book for everything. And I highly doubt our ancestors had books back in the old days to tell them what month to switch to cereal or applesauce. They just did it when it felt right such as when the baby is sleeping through the night and able to hold his head steady. He had this mysterious rash before we started giving him the baby food so I'm pretty sure it's not that. Either way, we'll go by Doc's orders this time. I'll try anything as long as it makes him feel better.

Halo 3

I don't know about the other women out there but my husband is addicted to Halo. He has been waiting 3 years for this new game to come out. Ever since Xbox360 posted the Halo 3 trailer on XboxLive he has watched it more times than I can count. He would have probably been one of the crazy people at GameStop at midnight if he had not had to be at work early this morning. I was surfing the web earlier and I read somewhere(I think it was aol), that Halo 3 is beating Star Wars as far as popularity goes. I'm very sure that this week is going to be a very quiet week for many couples considering the men will be playing this *gasps* amazing game. My husband and I are currently separated but he still calls me every night and today he called me twice, which I think is to make up for the fact he will probably forget to call me tomorrow considering he's cheating on me with this game. Anyways, I was wondering if there was any more women out there who's marriage is being put on hold because of this new guy toy. It feels kinda nasty talking about this macho game after all of my posts on babies, scrapbooking and freebies :)

Apple Sauce
Jayden is only 2 1/2 months but he's already holding his head up on his own and sitting up with a little help from us, plus he's teething, and he's sleeping through the night, so we decided to try him on a little bit of baby apple sauce just to see what he would do. He loved it as I suspected he would, since he loves Milicon because of its sweetness. I'm going to try giving him a little bit of cereal tonight before bed to see if it helps him sleep better.

Manic Monday
My name is Crystal and I am addicted to freebies. There, I said it. I feel so much better now. Some of my friends think I'm kinda dorky for being so wrapped up in this but hey at least I am saving money. I figured that since I love getting freebies so much that I should share my secrets with others so that they can benefit from it as well. Therefore, I have decided to post a regular freebie special on Monday's called "Manic Monday". I really hate Monday's and I'm sure there is other people out there who do to, so I thought it would give us a little something to look forward to after the weekend. I know that there are other blogs out there that also have freebie specials but there might have been some freebies that they missed. For a few months now I have been getting the coolest freebies in the mail. I have not had to buy any toothpaste, deoderant, baby stuff, or items for our wonderful monthly reminder such as pads and tampons. I have saved a lot of money because of this. You, my friend, should too. Afterall, we do pay our taxes; should'nt we get something out of it? These are the awesome freebies that I received last week.
Here is MaNIc mONdAy!!!

Teething Blues
We have a tooth! Baby Jay is teething for the first time. We've noticed he's been drooling a lot, crying for no apparent reason and has been wanting to eat my fingers every chance he gets. Every time we've done a tooth check we have not seen one so we just figured he was having a fussy day. Well now you can finally feel a tooth. You can't see it yet but it's surely there. This would explain why Jayden felt a little warm today and had me up at 2 in the morning. Luckily we bought a teething ring on our previous trip to Wal-Mart. He's only 2 months old so I think this may be a bit early. However, I did read somewhere that if a baby teethes early then the baby will crawl early as well. I always knew he was advanced for his age *grins*.

One Month and Counting
Yay! Jayden is officially one month old!!! A month ago today I was screaming and in a whole lotta pain. But, as you can see to the left side of the page it was all very well worth it. Jayden had his one month check up today and the Doc. said everything looked fine. He's gained 2 pounds since he was born, and after holding him I can surely tell. After his checkup we all went to Chili's for dinner. Of course, Jayden, did not get to enjoy the great food but he'll have pictures to remember the trip.

Finis
I finally finished the 6th book, and I got the 7th book from my brother. I'm determined to get this HP stuff over with so that I can move on to something else. However, I will miss Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The only thing I hate about reading the books and then having to wait so long for the movie is that I forget all of the details before the movie comes out. But I guess that does allow me to be a bit more suprised when I watch the movie.
On another note, we decided to try Jayden on Similac Isomil instead of the Advance to see if that would help his fussiness and gas. I can see a bit of an improvement. He's not spitting up as bad. On Friday he will officially be one month old. It seems like just yesterday he was in my belly and I was walking miles around my mom's house just to get him here sooner.

Wowzerz
Ok I admit it I have officially been reunited with the Harry Potter extravaganza. For a long time now I have kinda ventured away from it, mostly because I got hooked more on Nicholas Sparks and other romance related authors but the latest HP movie did it to me again. I actually never finished reading the fifth book. So, after seeing the movie I just had to know what happens. Apparently my Mom bought me and my brother the sixth book a while back and I forgot about it. There is certainly a lot more teenage love going on in this one that's for sure. My brother has already finished the sixth book and the seventh so it's been hard to not let him tell me what happens in the end, even though he has given several hints. I'm at the part of the book where you can tell Ron is getting ready to dump Lavender and really wants to be with Hermione. I'm about to burst waiting for Ron and Hermione to just admit they like eachother! It's about to drive me insane!

A Whole New Look
Well as you can see I changed the look of the blog. The name "Little House on the Prairie" was just not describing my life right now and "Memoirs of a Manic Mom" sounded so much better. Also, the polkadot background was making me a little bit too hyper.
Jayden is officially 3 weeks old today and he's getting so much bigger! He's already grown out of one of his sleepers and he's working on another one. We took him to the zoo yesterday. The minute we get there he decides he's hungry and to make matters worse he was sleepy(in Jayden terms that means "fussy"). So, we had to spend about 30 minutes sitting on the tailgate of our SUV feeding him and getting him comfortable before we went in because it was too sunny out to carry him into the zoo in our arms. He has to be completely calm and almost asleep before he will ride happily in his car seat or else he will scream his little head off. Jayden decides to be funny and spit up most of what he ate all over me and his father. During this whole cherade the loyal geese that flock the parking lot are getting just a little bit too close for comfort to our vehicle. Anyone that knows us would have probably loved to have had a picture of this glorious moment to laugh about later on.
