Well, my freebies got better after Xmas. I still cannot believe Christmas has come and gone. When I was younger it seemed like the holiday's would not come quick enough, now I can't even catch up. I hope you all have an awesome Monday and a great New Year's Eve(don't drink too much!) :)

Note: Make sure when you are signing up for freebies that you are not saying that you got it from a freebie website. Make sure you say "friend" or something relevant to that or they won't send it to you. Also, do not give them your phone number. I always give them a fake phone number or one that is expired.

The Goods from Goodwill

A town near by opened up a new Goodwill so I decided it was time to check it out. My Mom used to shop there all of the time when I was little. However, as I got older I thought I had to have everything brand new and name brand so we stopped going there as much. Everything changes when it's your own money! Nowadays I buy nothing unless it's on sale, ridiculously marked down, or Walmart. Now that I've had a baby I figured I'd go in there and buy some clothes because my mother-in-law has bought several things there for Jay and they looked really nice. Plus, there's no sense in buying brand new stuff that he will be growing out of in a couple of months. Before Xmas I stopped in there because I had to get a few things for a child that I was sponsoring and I also got some stuff for Jay. I really did not look at anything except baby stuff so the other day I went back with my Christmas Money. How come no one told me they had such neat stuff?!! OMG I was freaking out. I ended up buying more than I meant to but I only spent a total of $40.

*3 Tshirts: 1.75 each
*2 fitted sheets and 2 top sheets: $2 each
*Madison Studio Travel Jewelry case(Brand NEW): $1
*Vintage Pocketbook: $3
*Sleeper for Jay: $1
*4 Corning ware Coffee mugs: .99 each
*50th Anniv. Plate: .99
*Antique Potato bin: $10

This is one of the Corning ware mugs. This was a DEAL. At first I thought they were just basic Correll or something but then I turned them over and saw the vintage graving and the "Pyrex" marking. I snatched those things up before anyone else could see what they were. After I paid for them I told the sales lady that they needed to be watching their china and explained to her what they were and the brand. She couldn't believe someone working there priced them so cheap. I don't think she was very happy....

The picture does not do this justice but it's an antique potato bin. They had just put it out and when I saw it was only $10 I had her hold it for me. The top part opens up with hinges. I'm going to cover up the mesh part with copper and then use it as a trash can or some kind of storage.

This is my favorite! These were very big back in the 70's. It's actually 2 place mats sewn together. The handles look like wood in the picture but they are actually plastic. The colors reminded me so much of my Grandma's orange and brown kitchen.

My Lot

I have been searching frantically to find as many money maker sites as I can and I came across the coolest site. It's very much like facebook but instead you get paid for your participation. I have already made several friends on there. You get paid to post a discussion, reply to a discussion, add friends etc... On average I make about 20 cents a day but it's adding up quickly. Go check it out!

Quote Of The Day

"He that cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which he must pass himself; for every man has need to be forgiven." - Lord Herbert

Advantage Life Insurance

There are so many insurance companies out there now. Just the other day I was heading toward the city and on one of these back country roads was a big cluster of insurance signs. I don't recall there being signs like that on the side of the road when I was little, but maybe I just didn't pay attention. I found a website the other day that guarantees to Save Money On Insurance. They sell all types of life insurance policies such as universal or employer life insurance. One of the policy's that I thought was a great deal was the Cash Back Life Insurance Policy. The great thing about this policy is that it works sort of like a savings plan. If you don't die before your premium expires then you get all of the money back that you paid for the premium when your policy ends. The Whole Life Insurance Plan is also something to invest in. Instead of expiring like other policy's this plan never expires and the rate never goes up. When I worked at my last job I had a small policy through them and I felt safe knowing that my family would have some support if something happened to me.

Quote of the day

"Love knows no reasons, love knows no lies. Love defies all reasons, love has no eyes. But love is not blind, love sees but doesn't mind."

Bloggertizer

Why blog for free when you can get paid for it? I found another site that will pay you to post. At Bloggertizer you can add your own blog for free, categorize it, and then an advertiser will contact you to write about their site. You can choose which advertisers to write about. Once an advertiser contacts you(on the bloggertizer messaging system) both of you work out issues such as fees, minimum amount of words, posting deadline, and method of payment. Also, the higher your page rank is, the more offers you will get. I've been writing posts for money for awhile now through another site and if you love to write then you might want to check it out. The thing that I love the most about these programs is that you can do it on your own time, and since I am a Mom that's a huge plus. Head on over to Bloggertizer and sign up.

But don't forget: If you don't follow the rules, you will be removed from the site!

Ultimate Paintball

OK ladies, this post is not about our crafts or our other girlie topics. However, I thought that it might interest you considering you probably have a husband, brother, or son who likes paintball. I had no idea what paintball was until 8th grade when my boyfriend at the time, tried to get me to go play. Of course, I passed, but it amazes me how much this leisure sport has grown since then. If you're having to get a belated Christmas gift then you should check out this paintball site. They have all of the name brand guns and accessories at low prices. Also, if you spend $99 then you will qualify for free UPS shipping. Right now they have a spyder mr3 gun package originally priced $399 and has been marked down to $245. That comes with everything that your man would need for a day of paintball.

Home-Made Cards

I bought a huge pack of card stock at Hobby Lobby the other day and I thought I would make good use it. I needed a birthday card and an anniversary card so I made both! It was more fun than I thought it would be.

I hooked the 2 pieces of card stock together using a piece of paper down the middle, kind of like a binding on a book.

AHHHHH!

Well, it's midnight and Jayden has been screaming his head off for the past 3 hours, literally non stop. My Mom, my step-Dad and I have all had to take turns walking the floor with him because that seems to be the only thing that makes him happy. I gave him orajel first and when he started screaming louder I gave him tylenol and then milicon. In between his crying fits he's doing this weird hiccup/burp thing. I looked it up online and all I could find was something about cronic hiccups and it says to try giving him water. Tried the water and I think it's helping because he spit up some water and he just spit up some of his dinner on me (perfect). Atleast he's getting all of the air out. He's currently sitting on my lap fighting sleep while trying to help me type. I dont know how I would have handled this if I was by myself tonight. I am just so thankful my parents are here to help me. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

The good thing about all of this was that Jay finally said 'Mama' and reached out for me when one of my parents were holding him. Even if he was in tears it still felt good to hear it.

FYE: After finishing that last sentence, Jay has fallen asleep on my shoulder. Now if I can just change his wet outfit without waking him up.....

First Stocking

Nana and Poppy made a stocking for Jayden :0)

Felling Buggy

Jayden had a super crazy hair day yesterday and I thought I'd share it. :0)

Unfortunately, the fun did not last long. Last night he kept throwing up his dinner and wouldn't hold anything down. He was also very cranky and cried his little head off. Today, he's had a fever and he won't sleep for more than about 5 minutes.

12 Bags of Christmas

I never have the heart to throw away the Christmas cards that I have received from the year before so I decided to make them useful. I desperately needed gift bags so I used the cards to make them. The only materials that I used was paper bags, cards, colored paper, ribbon, and glue. It was super easy!

LapBand

There has been so much hype about gastric bypass surgery these days. Just when you thought silicone bands were only for your wrists, now they are for your stomach too. The medical industry has went one step further and introduced a new weight loss surgery called LapBand. It is very much like Gastric Bypass Surgery but without the stitches and staples. The surgeon puts a silicone band around the top part of your stomach creating a new, smaller, stomach. You eat less because your stomach is smaller and makes your brain think you are fuller faster. Interesting....

DonkeyMails

If you look at only one website today you HAVE to check this one out. It's called DonkeyMails and I have already earned 9 dollars just by looking at ads that are sent to my mailbox. You earn 25 cents for each one and you get several a day sent to your email account. It doesn't sound like much but it really adds up. You can also click on ads on the donkeymails site ranging from .01 cents to .25 cents. There are other options on the site that you can use to make money and if you use E-Gold you can cash out at any amount.

Calgon take me away!

I don't know about you, but I love to stay in hotels. It's just so exotic to me. I especially love the cute little soaps and shampoos that you can get, because you know how much I love free stuff. My Momma always taught me to take the toilet paper, tissues, coffee, plastic cups etc., after all you paid enough so they owe you. I have been a very loyal member of Marriott hotel's rewards program for a long time. I've even gotten a free stay with my points. However, I found a site that has an incentive that Marriott does not. At Hotel Reservations they will match another competitors price if you make a reservation on-line. It has to be a “special internet rate” and the specifications have to be similar to the competitors but this is still a really cool deal. Another great incentive on this site is the rebate program. It's valid only when you book on-line using and it has several cash levels. If you stay 3 nights-$20 Rebate, 5 nights-$30, 8 nights- $50 and the list goes on. The offer is valid January 31st through March 31st and you have to mail in the coupon.

A New Post for Pay Site

I recently came across a site that was very similar to PayPerPost and I thought you fellow bloggers might like to try it. You can also get paid for blogging at Smorty's site. It is an affiliate based site meaning it connects advertisers with bloggers. All the blogger has to do is write an opinion based post about the site and then include a link that will direct a reader back to the advertisers site. I have not been a member for very long but so far I like it. I also signed up with Smorty's Affiliate site and I get access to other advertisers ads that I can put on my site as well. If you are tired of Adsense, then you might want to try Smorty's affiliate site instead.

Another great incentive is the referral program. Each person you can sign up, you also get a commission. Overall, I've enjoyed working on this site. The ads were super easy to find on the affiliate program and there are good variety of topics to post about.

5 Months Belated

Jayden turned 5 months on the 3rd. He's trying to crawl big time. He's got his bottom half doing right but he can't quite figure out what to do with his arms. He's pretty much learned how to roll over too. I think the jumper that we got him has really helped strengthen his legs. He's also officially eating baby food and thank goodness he is not a picky eater like me. He takes after his father with that one. I also switched him from Soy to regular infant formula and he's doing pretty good on it. He's been keeping us up lately though because he's teething pretty bad. He won't seem to go to sleep until around midnight and then he's up again at 5, so we just put him in the bed with us and he goes back to sleep. He also won't sleep longer than about 20 minutes at a time when he naps throughout the day. So I'm usually on high alert during the day and it's kinda hard to get things done. I hated taking naps during the day when I was little and I still do so I gues I'm getting paid back for what I did. He's trying so hard to talk. He says Mama sometimes but he doesn't realize it, and he says "hey" a lot too. I think "hey" will probably end up being his first word.

Christmas Cash Advance

Since I had Jayden, my credit record has plummeted beyond repair. I came across this site that you might be interested in during the Christmas season. Do you need to get a fairly expensive gift to take to the Christmas Party next week but you don't get paid until the week after? Check out No Fax Payday Loans. You can get a cash advance ranging from $200-$1500 in as little as a day and whats even better is that they accept all kinds of credit levels. Before committing to anything they will give you a quote first, with no strings attached and you can back out at any time. There may be a finance charge, but not nearly as deadly as a credit card's finance charge. You also have to be 18 with some sort of income. You may or may not be interested in this but I thought someone might find it useful!

I Disclose

I have been very lucky to have as many faithful readers here on my blog and I know many of you have probably noticed lately different buttons on the side or new ads or posts that seemed like money makers. Well I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that even if I am writing a few posts once in a while to make some extra cash you can be sure that what I write about will be my own opinions and I will not change my opinions just to make some extra cash. If my opinion does not agree with the topic then I just won't get paid. My opinion my not even agree with yours but you can be sure that my opinion will not be generated just to abide with another company. Thanks for being a faithful reader!

Whipped Body Butter.

When I bought my Goat's Milk stuff online the other day I also bought some ingredients to make body butter. I'm not gonna put my recipe on here because it's my secret :) I used Shea Butter Base, Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, Mixed Berries Oil, and Olive Oil. Last night I was a little disappointed because after mixing it up in the mixer it still wasn't taking a 'whipped' like appearance. When I got up this morning it had taken shape and was just like iciing! It's a little greasy going on at first because of the shea butter, but then it sinks in and my hands feel smooth all day!

Rub a dub dub

I made soap with my best friend a long long time ago but I decided to try it again. I had a bunch of recipes to make different kinds but we just bought a kit instead of buying a bunch of different ingredients. I used white glycerin for my first which is in the pic below.

I loved making the soap so much that I decided to get some more soap supplies online. I've heard so much about Goat's Milk and how good it is for your skin so I bought some Goat's Milk Soap Base. In the soap below I mixed in Oatmeal, Vitamin E, and for fragrance I mixed coconut and mixed berries. It smells just like tanning lotion! I think I'm going to call these "Breakfast on the Beach".

OpticsPlanet

I found another great site if you are still looking for some good christmas deals. At OpticsPlanet they have a huge selection of hunting gear (I hope my husband doesn't see this), telescopes, designer sunglasses (prescription sunglasses as well), binoculars, printers, scanners, mp3 players, and the list just goes on. Right now, they have a huge freebie special going such as if you buy various Bushnell hunting supplies you get a FREE waterproof jacket. Also, you can get a FREE Simmons outdoor knife with the purchase of a Simmons Riflescope. The freebie offers end on December 31st. My favorite thing about this site is the fact that you can get FREE UPS Ground Shipping on all orders over $29, which is pretty easy to spend on all of the great deals. Check out OpticsPlanet's Blog called OperationGift.
